Today we went to a soup festival. It was an event to sponsor the Deaf Vermonters Advocacy Services. They do great work and we never turn down a chance to go eat food and socialize! It was a big success with many people contributing soup and just coming to participate in the eating. I made an Apple-Cheddar soup which I consider to be a big his since it was devoured and I was asked for the recipe numerous times!
This time of year is especially special for Will, the kids and I since it was this time of year last year that we all met. Next week sunday is the 1 year mark for us having known each other and the 24th is Will and my official being together anniversary. Its exciting to be the parent around the holidays. We decided to start some traditions for the kids and I think I'm more excited than the kids are! Its so much fun to have a house and a reason to decorate! It started snowing today too, our first real snow! We have about 2 inches as I write this and the snow, while tapering off, is still continuing to fall. The kids were really excited about the snow and wanted to play in it as soon as we arrived home. We had to compromise that they could play in it tomorrow (if it is still there) and they grudgingly agreed.
William is loving his new school and that he gets snuggles from me periodically throughout the day. I'll soon be moving into his classroom as his teacher is leaving the area and because I have my teaching license, if I work in the preschool room the daycare will get money from the state. Helps the daycare and I get to work with my boy more closely. Plus there is the added bonus that I'll be the only lead teacher so I'll get to do things my own way (keeping in mind that I can't change things TOO quickly)!
Life is treating us all well and we feel lucky to have our health, food and lots of love to go around. We certainly keep busy and that's the way life should be : )

That's great that you'll get to be in charge - and have less stress, hopefully!
