Just life.
Maybe to others it will seem fascinating but for me its just the way things go...A little chaotic, a little drama and a lot of things happening.
Kayla has been playing soccer this fall for the first time. She's loving it and we're loving the fact that she is exhausted. We changed her bedtime so she goes to sleep at 8 but reads in bed a half hour before that to unwind. Last night we let her stay up without reading until 8 and she said "I'm so used to going to sleep at 7:30ish that staying up until 8 I went right to sleep!" No complaints from us!! I have a feeling all of the exercise is what helped. Vermont schools have 2 days off for teacher conventions. Nice for the teachers but for people with kids, its always a scramble to find childcare. Since I stay home anyways, not a problem for us to keep Kayla home. And such a sweet way for us to make a little extra money by taking in other kids.
We decided to elope a bit ago. We were already living the married life so we decided to make it official. We're still planning on an official wedding for next year. We're hoping with the kids with us full time and Will having full legal and full custody of the kids that us being married I'll be given more rights. We'll see if that is possible. Funny enough most people have always assumed that I was the kids birth mom and that Will and I were already married. We've always been a good team and a loving family right from the start. Nothing has actually changed since we've gotten married except that I get to be a "Mrs." now!
I've been working on a business plan to get my own daycare started. It seems that everything will go well, finding the perfect space and figuring out what we need for our family and my business is the hardest part.
The kids are growing like weeds and William is fitting into size 4 now! I still need to use the elastic waistband sizing to keep the pants up on him but not much anymore!! For a week he was eating basically non stop and I do still need to keep him shooed away from my food if we eat at different times or he finishes before me. Kayla eats well if she feels like it and its always so healthy. We rarely have junk food in the house and when we do, they never beg for it. They actually feel left out if they don't get a salad when Will and I are eating one. We went to the Olive Garden a couple of weeks ago and we got the all you can eat salad and the kids ate quite a bit of it. We polished off 2 bowls of salad and quite a few baskets of breadsticks!
Will has been promoted to a supervisor position and has been enjoying being the supervisor however the meetings that he is required to attend he hasn't been quite as thrilled about! We do miss him being as close (his office is a 45 minute drive now) and that he returns home more late at night. But we are very proud of Will!
All in all life has been keeping us busy and been good to us. We appreciate the quiet smooth times and stick together for the more bumpy times.

The hardest part of the daycare project is a place to have it. You won't have to worry about clients - they will flock to you once you announce you are opening one!
