When I started working full time I was SO excited. I started picturing the things that I knew I needed and could actually buy. Then came the disasters. My phone died (which might explain my lack of answering if anyone has tried to call or text me), the car's brakes have gone bad, Maple has needed to go to the vet twice now and gas prices have sky-rocketed. On the plus side I've gotten better at budgeting and I'm now able to control my panic attacks better when I start freaking out about where the money is going to come from. Somehow everything works out...hopefully it will continue to.
Speaking of phones though...I'm getting a new phone and a new phone number sometime next weekish. I have a temporary phone with a temporary phone number but I can't call out of state. I can send and receive texts to and from anyone and anywhere. The best thing? Its free.
Now that that's out of the way...
Ben, Theo and family went on vacation this week. They went to Arkansas, Little Rock to visit the mom's mother, Ma Ann. We rented the game Mario Kart for the Wii and I've been enjoying my free time by playing Mario Kart and doing laundry. I've finally found a game that I'm better at Dan at! The best thing about Mario Kart on the Wii is that you actually move the controller the same way that you drive. I was doing that anyway on our play stations so this is now to my advantage!
Dan and I have also been enjoying my time off to get things around the apartment done. For example finally go through boxes and organize our things from when we first moved into the apartment. Mostly cause we're thinking about moving again and are wanting to make as few trips as possible. We also took the dog's swimming the other day at Lake Champlain. Dan's told me that Maple loves swimming but I hadn't gotten to see her in action. She LOVES swimming and is pretty fast. Sam will go wading but Maple kept fetching sticks no matter how far they were thrown. And if there were more than one she would bring back one and go back out for more. Its great having worn out dogs! They sleep so much and are much better behaved. Even easier to walk them...
