Another problem that I'm having (once again) is my teacher clothes. Now that I'm going to be there everyday, I think I'm going to need to go shopping to buy a couple more pieces to mix into my wardrobe. The hardest part is mixing comfort with professional-looking attire. Especially when teaching little ones. You can't have the tops that are too constricting when trying to offer comfort to a child. Or have pants that restrict the ability to squat down 50 times or more in a day. My problem with clothes shopping is that you can't test out the clothes in the same way that real life is going to test your clothes. I need to stay in the store for a few hours, moving around, writing on the walls, squatting down a million times and test out the ability that I would have to hug another person. Kind of like the little hills that they have in the outdoor gear stores to test out hiking boots...

That time of year again...
I can't believe that the summer is actually coming to a close. It's gone by much too quickly. Already my UVM professor for my student teaching has been emailing us, telling us to start getting in the mindset of teaching...She's a party-pooper. My mentor teacher (the same one I had before) is all excited for the beginning of the school year and has graciously asked me to give her my opinions about how the classroom should be setup and has even asked me if there was anything I'd like her to buy since she has a budget. I'm trying to figure out if there is ASL stuff I can convince her to buy ; ) Maybe I can convince her to buy a scrapbook and I can fill it with signs for the kids to learn...I'll have to think more about this one. Ideas are more than welcome.

It's so hard to test out clothes, even shoes. They really should allow you to test out the clothes in a real life situation. Like have small simulation rooms.
I'd have to take the girls into the fitting room with me, encourage them to hurl a little, drool some then fling food at the clothing. I don't think the sales lady would like that much...
