Ta-Da!

I am done! I just submitted my teaching portfolio to the reviewer. I had a small panic attack when I was submitting the portfolio that I had done the whole thing on the wrong program. I still may have but at least all my work is there and hopefully they will figure out a way to get it to where it needs to be. I can now breathe easier and seriously buckle down and look for work.

The kiddos are doing great. Kayla is in a dance class and they have a recital coming up so she is wicked excited. I'll be the dorky person in the audience taking a million pictures and maybe some video too. I've been to her dance class a couple of times but they don't seem to encourage the parents to go into the room and watch so it will be exciting to see her!

William is doing really well, not too many activities going on for him yet (oh to be 2 again). He has been really into learning signs right now and gets really proud when he signs something the way I am. While he's always signed before, his signs are more baby signs and usually his pointer finger for everything instead of using his full hand. We have "mom" "dad" "mermere (grandmother)" "grandpa" "George (Will's mom's boyfriend)" "Amaryah (my sign name)" down and are working on some other ones. Really he signs things for all of these but I'm working on him signing them so other people can tell what he's saying : ) His understanding of sign is amazing though. William will watch Will sign something and then carry on the conversation with me in speech. Or I can sign to him something and he'll go off and do it or tell someone something for me.

Work has been crazy for Will. He has tons of clients and usually comes home tired at the end of the day. I'm happy that I can be here to help him out! We're slowly working out some routines though when I get a job we'll have to go through the process again. Though we miss the kids when they go to their mom's, we try to use that time to have together time. Its kind of nice having built in date nights : )

One of the great things about Will and my relationship is how well we communicate together. This proves handy since Kayla has already started the "ask one parent something and if they don't give the answer I want, I'll ask the other parent" with Will and I. Good way to make sure that Will and I talk often in order to be consistent ; ) She has been great though and doesn't do this often. It probably helps that I usually discuss things with Will if its something important so she sees us working together as a team.

Tomorrow we're all heading up to Burlington to spend the night at my apartment for my graduation on Sunday. We're really excited! It just hit me this week that its coming up and I've become nervous/excited. I think more because I'm trying to plan for everything 2 hours away with most of my things packed up. I'm sure everything will run smoothly though!
