Dan has a new job! Ok so that's a big thing and I'm sure all of you are scratching your head saying "I thought he just got a job...". Well he did at the beginning of June but it hasn't been working out so well. His boss is rude to both him and me, his co-workers haven't been making much of an effort to communicate with him, and his job has him spending the night at the job site, in complete darkness so basically Dan would be sitting in his own world as soon as it got dark. And also, this job that he applied for a couple of months ago contacted him saying that they were VERY interested in hiring him and that they would love to do an interview, and then after the interview, they emailed him saying that they thought he'd make a great addition
to their team. So the new job is...(Dan is actually very nervous about how all of you will take this bit of information so please remember that we're very excited for this job)...kegging beer! It won't be the best job there but it has a lot of opportunity for growth and is something that Dan is interested in.
On to smaller things...
Ben has mastered the army crawl and is working on his actual crawling. I captured a picture of him doing some pushups to strengthen his upper-body:

While Ben will crawl to get over to a toy, he had never really followed me or made an effort to really MOVE until yesterday. He took two shorter-than-usual naps and was cranky upon waking. I wasn't in the mood to hold him constantly and so I sat him on the floor and went to put away some dishes. So Ben started crawling after me. I thought this was pretty exciting and kept doing this to him so he could practice more ; )
Theo has also mastered something pretty important: POTTY TRAINING! He has had a couple of accidents at school (the UVM pre-school) his first day of wearing underwear there but since then has not had an accident at all. Over the 4th of July weekend, Ben and Theo's parents decided to work on the potty training and told Theo that it was time to start sitting on the potty and then on Sunday they put some underwear on him and he insisted that he "never wanted to wear diapers again!" We're very proud of him and his new found independence.
