Piles of Snow

We got dumped on! We have about 2 feet of snow right now (I think...it's hard to tell for sure) with more predicted to be coming the next couple of days. I don't mind it at all and Maple loves it! She loves bouncing through the snow and looks like a kangaroo I think. My roommate has a Jack Russel that isn't a fan of such deep snow but Maple has been kind enough to make some paths for him. My favorite part when its snowing is when my cat sits by the sliding door and tries to catch the snowflakes through the glass. Always good entertainment : )
I got both my grades back for the semester. A- for ASL and A- for my student teaching. Both are good but a little sad that I didn't get an A...I was hoping for another 4.0 for the semester. My GPA is now 3.76 overall. Not bad I think :) One more semester to go!
A couple of weeks ago I went to the Greater Burlington Deaf Club Holiday Lunch. I had a lot of fun and made a new friend! His name is William and is 2 years old : ) William and I bonded within 10 minutes (our first time meeting each other I might add) and he followed me around for the next couple of hours. He even preferred to go to me than his dad. I hadn't met his dad before either so I introduced myself (didn't want to seem creepy by only hanging out with his son). His name is Will and he lives in Brattleboro, is divorced (actually in the process still) and also has a daughter named Kayla that is 8. I did meet Kayla too but she was hanging out with kids her own age. She did hand me her cup and ask me to watch it. Will works as a Vocational Rehab Counselor in 3 different locations so apparently is quite good at his job : ) We talked a bit at the Holiday Lunch and exchanged email addresses (he's Deaf so its the equivalent to exchanging phone numbers) and have been emailing quite a bit now. His dad lives in Shelburne (the next town over from Burlington) and Will is planning to go visit tomorrow for the holidays so we decided to meet and go get coffee. I'll keep you posted on how that goes : )

Congrats on the GPA! That's fantastic!

Good luck with the coffee date! I love conversations while cozying (sp) up with a warm beverage.

So, Micah's still trying to convince me to settle up North sometime in future. We compromised at Pennsylvania but now he's thinking Vermont-ish.

I may have to put my foot down and insist on Florida. He just keeps nudging too far north. By the time we settle again I'm sure it'll be back to PA.
