It snowed again today. Apparently the weather likes to dump several inches on us, then turn warm and then dump another batch. I don't complain because I don't drive anywhere and don't have to shovel (yay for renting!). I walked Maple over to the dog park this morning. Really I was tricked. I forgot to look outside before getting all dressed up in my snowpants and jacket and then as I stepped out the door into the swirling piles of snow I could only shrug and think "I'm already dressed, might as well walk her". Really its a benefit since I did need to leave the house for a few hours. Better to walk her in the snow for an hour than return home to poop all over her and the kennel. Of course she has rewarded me tonight by smelling up the room with her stinky farts. Ugh.
Have you heard this joke before? If you think your dog can't do math, try putting 4 cookies in your pocket and only giving him 2. Tonight I was giving Maple cookies. I make her sit still and then balance the cookie on her nose. While she can do this quite well now, I have been making her sit there for awhile until I give her the "ok". Occasionally she misses the cookie and it goes flying. Tonight one of the cookies went under the refrigerator. She tried to reach it but it was lost in the dust bunnies so I just gave her another one, thinking that she would forget about it. I put away the cookies and left the room only to hear a minute later from my roommate saying that Maple was licking under the refrigerator. Silly dog...guess she can do math.
