Also on Thursday I met up with Dan and we hung out with some Deaf people all evening. It was so much fun! There were 13 Deaf people and me for most of the evening. I've gotten to know most of them pretty well and they kept telling me that I'm not really hearing but am actually deaf. It might not seem like much, but it made me feel good and part of the group. I learn so much more by hanging out with Deaf people than I probably could in my classes. Not only signs but about the culture and problems that come up with being Deaf. I love becoming a part of their culture...everyone should have a friend from a different culture and really try to learn from and about that culture.

Feeling better : )
I had a much better week after Monday was done and over with. I had a snowday on Wednesday and Thursday I met with my teacher to figure out what I needed to do and when. I now have a huge amount of work to do for the classroom but she gave me a great compliment saying that she knew from the beginning that I could make it as a teacher. My teacher is amazing, pushing me to go above and beyond what my class requires me to do. I'm learning a great deal from her as a person and as a teacher. She is not afraid of telling the children that she made a mistake or is wrong. I feel really lucky that I have such a great mentor that gives me opportunities to really push myself and learn a lot from this experience.
