It's just another manic Monday

I started babysitting a 2-month old last week and am loving it. Actually he's not quite 2-months old. You might remember me mentioning in a previous post about his birth, right around Christmas time. He's absolutely adorable as all babies are and is pretty easy to take care of.
Today I was talking to the mom and she mentioned how she is usually is covered with spit-up. This got me thinking that I should start bringing extra pairs of clothes, just in case (I do have classes after). Today baby Ben decided to show me how important those extra clothes are by having an exploding diaper. Poop ran right down his leg and onto my pants. Luckily the mom had some pants that I could fit into so I borrowed them for the day.

Taking time off before college was probably the best thing that I did for myself. I'm really happy and glad that I took the time off as it gave me direction and focus in what I wanted, or hoped to do with my life. The hardest part was going back to school. Not because of the school work, but because of the social difference that is now present between myself and the other students. I get along with my classmates and even hang out in between classes with 3 other girls and thought they were my friends, but today I actually got snubbed by those same 3 girls. I think today I felt the loneliest that I've ever felt while being surrounded by 15 other people that I've known for 3 years.

It's hard to know who's your friend and who's just your classmate in that kind of setting. I've been completely ignored by a person in one class and been with them in another class and all of a sudden, I'm their friend. College students are strange, strange people.
