Where does the time go?

They say time flies when your having fun, so logically if you weren't having fun then time would go slow right? So I must have been having fun while sitting and doing endless homework this week because somehow the week has flown by and I only have 3 days left of my spring break.
Yesterday was Jasper's birthday (my cat). He is now 3 and I believe now technically a teenager. I can see it. He goes around and pushes things off the shelves for no reason and is a bit more hostile instead of cuddly. He does like "helping" me do my homework although I think it may be because he likes to sniff my highlighter.
Earlier this week I went and visited a Deaf Elementary school program. The program focuses on teaching the children through a bi-cultural bi-language approach which means the children learn both English and ASL, and both a hearing and Deaf culture. Did you know that you were part of a cultural simply because you are hearing? There are 5 children in the program, but are separated into 2 groups because of age. I hung out with the younger children because of my major in education it fit better. The 3 kids I observed were ages 4, 5, and 7. They are definitely part of the Deaf culture and LOVED having a visitor. The 4 year old girl adapted my sign name (kind of like a nickname but its signed). My sign name is usually one handed, a signed "A" to an "L" starting at the corner of the mouth and spreading on the cheek upwards, representing a smile. The girl did it with both hands, apparently she thought that I had a bigger smile than one hand can represent. The teacher mentioned that maybe I should think about keeping that as my sign name. That's the great thing about Deaf culture is that your sign name changes however people use it and how the different people see your personality.

Please let me know when you figure out where the time goes. We had some friends over this last weekend and it is over now. It feels like they just got here. We are looking forward to seeing you and Dan this coming week. We love you!
