Today I decided to make bagels. I did a little research on the internet (I'm sorry Siiri but this is one of the main reasons why I never call for cooking help anymore; you can find ANY recipe online these days) and found a recipe that gave good step by step instructions. After watching me for a bit rolling out the dough in little snakes, Dan jumped in and started helping. I should mention that our kitchen is tiny. And since we were both in there, the dogs came wandering in, figuring that we might need help cleaning up the floor (2 people, more messes right?). I should mention that our kitchen is REALLY tiny. Here's a picture from last week of Maple 'helping' Dan in the kitchen.

Cooks in the Kitchen
One of the reasons why I love Dan is that he knows how to cook. Not just Mac & Cheese from the box, but actual cooking. In fact in the beginning, he had a hard time just letting me cook without him helping or giving advice. Silly me, I kept insisting that I knew what I was doing and he learned that I did in fact know what I was doing and handed over most of the cooking duties to me. Not that I mind, but sometimes I wonder how things would be if I had just kept my mouth shut and let him think that I had no idea how to cook really.
Our kitchen floor has never been cleaner now that we have two dogs, nor has it been more crowded.
