I had to email a few teachers to get into the classes I needed when I first signed up for classes and after getting accepted into the class, I thought everything was all set and everything seemed to be fine until last week.
I got an email from UVM saying that my ASL class was cancelled. I was shocked and worried. I was only planning on taking 12 credits so missing one class would put me as a part-time student which would effect my financial aid. Worried I contacted Keri but there was nothing she could do. UVM is in debt and raised the amount of students that were required for the class to continue. They wouldn't even accept her teaching the class for free.
So the hunt for another class started. This close to the semester starting all of the introductory classes are full and so aren't the low-level classes...the ones that I would be able to take if they are not my communication science or education classes. I emailed 4 teachers asking them to over-ride me into the class but got turned down for all of them. I finally found a class that I could at least sign up for: philosophy. Not my ideal class but in a pinch I will learn something and hope that it is useful and that I pass : ) The drawing professor that I emailed told me to come to the first class and hopefully a student will have not shown up and I could take the class. I'd much prefer drawing than philosophy so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that!
Now that everything seems to be in order, I'm hoping I can spend the next couple of days before classes start getting things in order for my last semester!
