Interesting story

The forecast from the National Weather Service website for Burlington, Vermont:
Today: Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 5. Wind chill values as low as -13.
Tonight: Cloudy, with a low near -5.
Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny and cold, with a high near -1. Wind chill values as low as -14.

After reading this, and thinking of my classes tomorrow, I was reminded of a classmate. Her name is Margaret and she is in my Education Classes. I'm not sure if it happens in other schools, or whether it happens to be my program, but we usually start off by doing those name games where you say your name and something interesting about you that is only interesting to the people that have never been in any other of your classes...
Anyways...
So Margaret introduces herself and for her interesting fact says: "I'm allergic to cold". We all laugh thinking that surely she must be joking. Why would anyone chose to go to college in a place that notoriously has freezing cold winters when they are allergic to the cold? But no, she was being serious. It was a condition that she's had for awhile and has to take precautions when it is severely cold out but otherwise just bundles up very well. It kind of makes me jealous though, what a perfect excuse to not go to class when it is freezing out..."I'm sorry but I'll break out in hives if I come so I'm just going to stay home where it is nice and warm." What teacher is going to argue with that?
