Maple got lots of hugs and kisses from both kids. William loved Maple giving him kisses. After he ate french toast Saturday morning I set him down and let Maple clean up his face and hands. William thought it was hilarious and kept trying to get Maple to lick him more! I taught the kids how to get Maple to do her tricks and they loved watching her and getting her to perform. Their favorite was balancing a cookie on Maple's nose and then watching her try to snap it up. It was always good to get the kids laughing : )
William and Maple are the same height when Maple is sitting. They made quite the picture as they both stood/sat in the kitchen waiting to be given food. We had to teach William to tell Maple no and to not let her steal his food from him. Of course later I caught him trying to feed her apple pieces. Oh well.
Saturday morning the kids decided to dress-up Maple. It was mostly Kayla's thinking and she loved that Maple was so patient! She was able to tie on a few capes and tie a bandana on Maple's head. Kayla put a hat on her but Maple was trying to get it off so we helped take it off. William decided to put it on instead along with a pair of sunglasses that Maple refused to wear. They both looked so cute all dressed up!
One of my favorite parts of the weekend was when we all played outside in the snow. Maple romped around and chased Kayla using the sled. Will played with Kayla and pulled her on the sled as William and I trudged through the snow together. Nothing like playing all together to feel true happiness!
I made another album with all the pictures from the weekend...enjoy!

Great pictures!
Charley has the same jacket as Will (I dress my girls like little tomboys maybe a little too much) and went for it when she saw that slide.
I love the photo of Maple in the cape. Plant a mortar board on her noggin' and let her march with you in May...
Will's jacket or William's? Nothing bad about dressing the girls as tomboys! But that's really cute that Charley went to get her coat!
That's a really good idea! Maybe I'll give it a try. We'll have to train her to wear hats!
