Snowy Day...

The big storm has hit! Apparently it is supposed to be the biggest storm since the Valentine's Snowstorm of '07. Students in my math class were saying that they had heard UVM might close. Silly young-un's! While it is true that UVM closed for a couple of days a couple of years ago, that storm was intense. Within a few hours we had a few feet. This snowstorm, while is pretty bad is nothing like it and not that much different than the storm we had a month ago. UVM has only closed twice ever.
My Political Science class is going well. I'm so happy I have the teacher I do. Apparently other teachers are quite dry and boring. Frank Bryans isn't like that at all! He doesn't know our names and doesn't care to get to know us. He remembers odd facts about some of the more outspoken students that has to do with how they tend to respond to his questions. One is "the Math student", another is "the redneck". Answering questions is always a little scary since he is quite loud and wants the answers quick and proud. I've dared to answer a couple of his questions so far. Today after answering he told me that I got an "A" : ) I wish it was that simple! His lectures are always animated and he likes to give us examples using his life. He tries hard to keep us awake by telling jokes or saying ridiculous stuff. We've been talking about factions recently. Going back to Madison and the start of the constitution. The whole theme right now is why the government is working exactly how it was set-up to work, which was to not actually work, so therefore works perfectly. The discussions are quite interesting and while I always wish I could be sleeping, I'm really enjoying the class and learning something that I don't know much about.
